why anyone thought this would work is just beyond my comprehension.
If this type of new CEO paradigm worked, every organization in the world would already be using it. But it doesn't work, because organizations need a strong, respected leader at the top. That top dog can empower his underlings to run their units as they see fit, but the top guy is the undisputed leader.
This scheme was destined to fail from day 1.

Have you worked in corporate America? Half the CEOs in the Fortune 500 can't even tie their shoes.
