No idiot...quite the opposite. He's reacting to political activism against two "sacred" institutions of our nation. It's totally expected and reasonable for him to reject that as Vice President.

Already with the name calling? And here I thought we were having a reasonable conversation like a couple of adults. Shame.

For the record, I don't care that Pence went out of his way to make a political statement. I take a bit of umbrage with him using taxpayer dollars to do it all while creating a security clusterfrick that the stadium had to deal with, but that's separate and apart from the statement itself. I'm not in any way criticizing him for the stance he has taken, just like I in no way criticized the cast of Hamilton for their addressing him. I'd like to think we live in a country in which no one is above being addressed or redressed, no matter what Dawgfan thinks about our needing to protect the apparently delicate sensibilities of our elected officials.

It's the same issue. Others are playing politics during the game. Those who choose to make political statements during a performance or game are the ones who should be criticized. Again, I'm amazed your blind to this.

See above.

He was rejecting a political statement...at a football game. I think the distinction is important because he isn't forcing his political stance on those at the game to see the game.

The players are using football, which has nothing to do with the protest itself. They've chosen to piss off people because they think it furthers their cause. A response to that protest by fans or even the Vice President is not equally misplaced. And, it's crazy to equate them.
