This story reminded me of a doctor that I used to call on as a pharma rep. I always said he had to be doing something illegal. After I read the article I googled his name.
I guess I was right
Unreal

Many pharmacists reported that piece of shite to the DEA, NOPD narcotics and the medical board starting in 2010 when we started seeing his bullshite scripts. I hadn't heard of the doctor from the OP as she was before my time but it's a carbon copy of her practice and he had 3 offices.
Took 6 years from the first reports to finally shut him down. A patient of his threatened the lives of my technicians and myself because I refused to fill his scripts. He walked to his car while I was on the phone with the dispatcher and my technician saw him get a gun out of his trunk and head back into the pharmacy. I cleared and secured the pharmacy and he was tackled by an undercover narcotic unit who was tailing him from a drug deal in Hollygrove right before coming to the pharmacy. He's in Angola for life now.
