Seem to remember someone in the documentary saying they thought he'd still be our coach now if he hadn't died. It really makes me want to get a young coach and keep him for a long time.

He was 33 I believe when he took the job at LSU. He was still the youngest head football coach in college football.

He wanted Pete Carroll to follow him to LSU and be his DC....crazy thought

Yep you have to remember he was one of the youngest if not the youngest head coach in the nation. He could have been still coaching today. The man had a hell of a coaching tree. No telling where LSU would be today if he had coached. So said he was good and was bound for greatness.
