Older folks in Mobile always rave about Wet Willie. They had that one big song, but they've been pretty lackluster every time I've seen them.

WW was big when I was in high school. Listen to CDB's "The South's Gonna Do It Again," all of the bands named in that song helped start the southern rock genre. There were other bands not named in that song that had more distinguished careers, and we're a part of the beginnings of southern rock, but WW was also there at the start.
Saw Jimmy Hall on one of the cable music channels a few months back, as part of a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute.
