Whats the issue with the current league?

We had a 12 team league where we kept 5 out of our 15 each year. Every year, teams in contention would sell all of their draft picks to compete and midway through the season there were only 6 teams competing. Then after the season, those contending teams would trade fringe keepers for draft picks. It was just a flawed format, pretty much everyone agreed. So much so that teams like SFP and Karma gave up stacked teams to change formats.

We voted on an auction redraft, but some teams wanted to add keepers to the mix. We came up with a formula auction value for keepers, which would increase each year. It made it to where people were unsure about trading, plus we were all new to basketball auctions and it was just not fun for a lot of people. It was overly complicated. All but like 3 owners told me they were quitting.

My recommendation was to do a dynasty last year because it was so similar to our old TDBBL but it was shot down.
