Not sure you can convince me Texas was pursuing Saban? Are you really trying to act like you were the only person, or one of very few, with this "information" and it wasn't openly talked about across the country at the time?

Maybe I was wrong and you didn't say it was a done deal. I'm not going to go back to through your post history. But upon re-reading what you posted, the phrase "UT confident Saban will take the job" appears. That is at least as much, if not more, a statement that Saban will be coaching at Texas as finebaum "corroborating" your information from that post by referencing literally none of those details in the article you linked.

By the way, in case your reading comprehension skills are not strong, that is a quote from an article, not something said on the radio as sarcasm.

Dude, I am not sure what your point is...

yes, you were wrong. The phrase "UT confident Saban will take the job" means exactly how it reads. I only brought up Finebaum because I thought you were dogging me for suggesting that Saban to UT was a possibility. If $100 million dollars is on the table, there is always a possibility that a money-grubbing whore like Saban would seriously listen. UT obviously liked their chances (even if there was just a 50% chance he would leave Bama).

I guess I am not sure what your point was...there is nothing to corroborate Alleva not altering Herman's version of the contract for O...and the wording of that footballscoop article suggests the writer is just exaggerating for effect...
