$96 is about right using his cap hold, and against a $101 million cap projection you have no functional cap space because the MLE is bigger than the cap space you have.

There's no reason to dump Moore to create cap space if Asik will be getting retired and you can dump Ajinca like QPon next summer or maybe as part of a trade. Again, you'll have about $23 million in tax space, but only $12 million in exceptions and I guess another $5 million worth of uneven trading.

I just don't see the benefit of a straight dump of Moore. I'd rather either keep him or use him as salary in a trade. One thing to keep in mind is that it sounds like Rondo came here on a discount. If things work out we won't have his Bird Rights and he'll have leverage against the Pels. It's not crazy to think he could get enough of the MLE that you can't keep Clark in which case you'd definitely want Moore still on the roster.

I like Moore, but you can find guys for less than $3M to do what he does, and you don't have to pay them for 3 more years. That's why i want to get rid of him, as well as Solo.
If there's a chance to trade Moore for an expiring contract that can still play, do it.
No point in keeping guys with long contracts that aren't core players.
