MAYBE there isn't anything else that can be done, but why not have the discussion to see if more can be done from preventing some of these people from getting these guns. I know there can be reasonable discussion had, but everyone is shouting to loud about one extreme or the other for the discussion to be heard.
Both sides have their hard earned positions and have dug in. Guns tend to be the Republicans and Abortion tends to be the Democrats.
To be fair (I'm neither Repub nor Dem) when have the Dems given into anything in the past twenty years?
