IIRC, Hallman's success at Southern Miss was due to a young quarterback named Brett Favre.

That may be true...but he still had to coach the team with Farve at QB...and he sure as hec didn't have a Farve at LSU!

Yeah, Hallman beat FSU, Auburn while at USM.
