And, by the way, he let the Taser people take him out on the town his first night in San Diego. Taser had just received a huge contract with LSP for body cameras. Who sees an issue here?

Public employees can accept meals from vendors as long as a company representative is present and the value is less than $60.

Limit is waived if you are attending a conference.

ETA: troopers should have been fired IMO but not because a vendor took them out

I agree a meal that abides by the state guidelines is ok.

My problem is when you put the uniform on you are suppose to represent this state in a positive manner, higher level of competence, and abide by the rules!

When you
1. Steal from the tax payers lying about the mileage and time on duty.
2. Do stupid stuff which could be construed as sexting.
3. Then you try to hide this and your are supervisors this is bad.

I think they need to fire all of them.
In the court of law how can this person testify in a theft case.
All the attorney has to do is ask if he has ever stolen anything from his employer.

Another situation in the past few years.
How can you issue a citation when you have troopers not responding to an emergency situation driving at speeds near 100 mph involved in an accident in Point Coupee Parish killing that person?

How can the state police investigate any dept in this state when they need to control their own trash!

Things like this make me glad Mike Edmonson is gone! He should have been fired as a horriable leader, along with all these trashy people who somehow are allowed to put state police uniforms on.

This doesn't apply when there is an open bid and that the same company is taking part in it. That violates the state conflict of interest policies.
