What do you think is actually protected from being surveilled at this very moment? I would say "nothing". If they want to know anything about you, they will get it. Nothing naive about it. We see that with the whole muh Russia thing. Phone calls, emails, internet chat. Who knows?

A gun grab would have to take place for more freedoms to be taken away. JMO though. As long as there is a possibility for there to be armed militias to oppose our government overstepping their bounds, this is the only thing to keep our government in check.
