If they polled in the metro area, I am completely unsurprised. Most of NC's metro areas (both Charlotte and the Tri-Cities) are heavily comprised of transplants, and usually from more blue parts of the country.

As far as I was able to tell, with the exception of places like Rock Hill and Greenville, most folks in SC care as much about pro football as those in Alabama.
