In all seriousness find a physical therapist who is certified in mechanical diagnosis and treatment (MDT). As long as you have not extruded the nucleus (blown out the disc) you should have some success with this treatment approach. I'm a PT at a spine clinic and I see people with your symptoms all day everyday. Go give it a try before you decide to have surgery. What area are you in?
