Good analysis.
Now ask yourself if the Tackle position is more valuable than guards for a run first offense.
Secondly, go research the NFL salaries for GUARDS. NFL teams are pressuring more and more up the middle with stunts, etc. edge rushing is good, but getting the QB off their spot and throwing on the move is more and more the types of stunts being used today. Brady hates to be out of the pocket or on his butt. Last year the Texans stunted his arse in the middle and gave them fits without Watt because their backend was good with Bouye.
So those on here yelling about tackles are not following the trends as much as they think. I'm not saying the guard position has surpassed tackle for spending on %cap. All I'm saying is the gap has closed significantly.
NFL Salaries for guards signed in the last 2 years including Turner with the Panthers have really reflected the change in philosophy on importance for the position.

It’s just another excuse people are using to excuse Orgeron’s terrible start. Nothing more, nothing less.
