An NFL safety is any player given a contract by the NFL.
Let's say all owners adopted Jerry Jones's "kneel and get fired" stance. They let's say 90% of the NFL's players quit. The game would go on and the new players signed from college would now be NFL players and they would be watched. It's not like you'd be replacing the players with elderly women. To the naked eye, they'd appear identical.
Don't make it a talent argument because college games get great ratings and the worst pro team would destroy a college team.

Why doesn't your company fire everyone and hire people with only GEDs?
