They're not doing it for themselves, they're doing it for the world, most of these players have teenage kids and don't want them to be shot down for walking with a hoodie on. Is that too much to ask for?

so you are saying that this father figure of the hoodie wearing teenage kid is setting an example for his child by disrespecting the anthem and the country he lives in and provides that hoodie and everything else he has....that sitting during the anthem is a productive way to affect social change? How about using his fame and contacts to protest, generate awareness, help educate both sides of the argument without offending those who are proud and love their country? To ensenuate that any of those people are setting a good example on conflict resolution is ridiculous. It's quite the opposite.
