Really, well educate me then....who is it about if it's not about the veterans? Shall we recite the anthem together? I can draw pictures for you if you like!

"protest on your own time". Doesn't that kind of defeat the point of the protest?
I don't know anyone who has a non-athletic job that allows them to protest at work, except to strike.
They can protest on their own time like everyone else.
Everyone has the right to protest, but protesting at your job site or place of work will normally get you fired.

Actually, Jerry Jones did it right! I applaud Jerry for being hand in hand with his players and taking a knee! THAT IS AN ORGANIZED RESPECTFUL PROTEST! Bravo, and point taken!
The shite missles sitting on the bench for the Saints while our national Anthem is being played is NOT perceived as a protest....it's perceived as disrespect to our nation.
Again, protest all you want, don't frick with the Flag....Period

I sincerely hope you guys do follow through with that threat (although I doubt you do) so the rest of us can get back to talking about football.

Cut state taxpayer giveaways to billionaire Tom Benson? All for it. But not for the reason of being offended by free speech.

you don’t know shite about my background. The people bending the knee are way more privileged than me.
They're not doing it for themselves, they're doing it for the world, most of these players have teenage kids and don't want them to be shot down for walking with a hoodie on. Is that too much to ask for?
Posted on 9/26/17 at 10:31 pm to Louisianabound88
so you are saying that this father figure of the hoodie wearing teenage kid is setting an example for his child by disrespecting the anthem and the country he lives in and provides that hoodie and everything else he has....that sitting during the anthem is a productive way to affect social change? How about using his fame and contacts to protest, generate awareness, help educate both sides of the argument without offending those who are proud and love their country? To ensenuate that any of those people are setting a good example on conflict resolution is ridiculous. It's quite the opposite.

People like you are the major issue in what has many people so upset with fake bullshite like this.
Posted on 9/26/17 at 10:52 pm to notiger1997
Y'all are gonna be upset no matter what so why not keep it going, go through it with someone close to you and you'll want change too
Posted on 9/26/17 at 10:54 pm to OptionRight
To my knowledge he is doing exactly what you're saying he should do, use his fame and platform to draw attention to something in America that need to be paid attention to
Posted on 9/26/17 at 10:57 pm to notiger1997
I guess it is too much ask for
Posted on 9/26/17 at 11:01 pm to Louisianabound88
I really am not upset with the kneeling and kind of have been having fun making fun of those losing their shite over this issue, but then people like you come along and it just pisses me off. This false narrative you push is garbage and there are hundreds of other ways to help the black community that can make a real difference.
Keep up the good fight I guess.

Does this mean the state won't issue tax credits to a film they don't agree with or only companies exhibiting enough patriotism will get state subsidies? I love it when politicians get emotional and see a chance to pander to their base.
