It's everywhere, not just here. Students want to socialize, drink, and party; and football on a big screen is just fine. Saban called out Bama students last year for not attending games and leaving early.

Yes sir, HD 4K Tv is better looking that actually being on the field. Air conditioning, refrigerated beverages, or $2 beers at the bar vs $4 cokes and stale popcorn and shitty nachos.

Shitty parking, long marathon style walks before and after the game
Ticket prices, and concession cost go up, and HD TV prices fall every year. That Black Friday 55" Samsung for $249 just put a whooping on the stadium seats after halftime
