Alright here's the spoiler thread y'all. Let's talk about it here. I thought it was pretty fun, not as good as the first but still good.

Pros

Egsy and Merlin
The Statesmen need a spin off
Elton John was hilarious
While not as good as SLJ, Poppy was a good villain. (Radical Libertarian )
The final fight was amazing
The action was great once again

Cons

Killing off Roxy was pretty shitty
Channing Tatum was a glorified cameo
Harry while good was kind of not needed
Was really hoping for a twist at the end, but nope
The President was way over the top

Channing Tatum, or lack there of, was weird. Did he have some movie commitments come up or something? Or was he only there to set up a third movie?

It was hard to root against the villain

I still loved the movie. Final scene was amazing

It was good. The first one was way better imo. I thought Elton was used to much. He had more screen time then Channing.

Pacing was not great, and it was too long. It was fun and entertaining which is pretty much what I expected. Didn't live up to the first one, but it was a good popcorn flick.

Too much Elton John. A cameo would've worked. Making him into an action star was too much.

You can see the seam in the movie when they realized that Channing Tatum wouldn't be available for his original role. That was distracting.

Jeff Bridges is stuck in his True Grit role.

Colin Firth was mentally out of it for too much of the film.

Other than that, it was a fun evening, worth the money.

Nice that Halle Berry went from Bond Girl, to Q, to Bond.

Saw it tonight. Little drop off from the first, which was damn near a perfect popcorn movie, but fun watch nonetheless.

I thought it was great. Not as good as the first one, which is just a transcendent movie, but very good. It was a bit long and there was so much going on in the plot that it was incredible that Vaughn was able to tell the story coherently, but it was a great send up to the superhero genre of today. It was almost an audition piece for Vaughn to take over the DCEU. From the beginning of the movie when you see the "S" superimposed over the chest of a Kingsman blazer to the superhuman strength that they displayed more freely this go around, to the enormous amount of plotlines going on, the whole thing felt like a massive superhero movie and a good one at that.

And the Statesmen were great. I loved that whole thing. I loved how alcohol, the most freely available drug on the market, made Statesmen, the good guys, gobs of money, while Poppy (because of course her name would be Poppy living in Cambodia and being a drug kingpin) has to live in secrecy and is a bad guy. The whole war on drugs angle was fantastic.

I saw it at the discount theater today. I agree with all your pros and cons. Almost the exact things I would’ve said.

Why are Americans stereotyped so poorly? We are like the most diverse country in the world and all of our Statesmen were cowboys who spoke like...I have no idea.

Would you have let the druggies die?
Upvote for yes downvote for no.

Julianne Moore is amazing but that was the weakest boss death bar Snoke in movie history.
