I receive 100% of the first 6%, and there's a 3% profit sharing allocation most years ex-great recession.
If you're getting more than 5-6% you have a great plan. But then how much you make?

Whatever it is, if you can afford to, contribute 15% and be sure it's a "before tax" contribution. Never touch it and be set for retirement. I'm in the stages of life where I can put 24K per year. I max it out every year. I'm catching up from a divorce in 2000.
