Louisiana misappropriates funds like no other. I'm sure that LSU would have an easier time getting endowment donations if our administration was halfway competent and could prove that they'd actually do something useful with the money. The only reason I donate to the black hole known as Louisiana bureaucracy is because my TAF fee is required for me to get my season tickets, so again, they'll get more money from me when our administration isn't filled with fricking morons.

I love hearing people cry about how much money is given to our "semi pro football team".... it's usually the same crowd that more than likely doesn't put their money where their mouth is. At least a portion of my money that goes to TAF gets back to the academic side.

I'm sure those same people are also offended by monuments and are all for partication trophies. There's no winning with those pansies.

I will start donating again when the morones are gone. As a once proud alumnus, I used to give very generously to LSU.

With Alleva and FKing around, no thansk!

Endowment funds are managed and distributed by the LSU Foundation. Not the University Administration.

And nearly all endowed funds are established for specified accounts and purposes (e.g. scholarship w/ criteria, professorship, or a specific program such as Tiger Band).
