I can reiterate the beer guide. Trillium, Nightshift, and Lord Hobo and all great breweries. You can only buy and leave at the Trillium downtown by water, but can drink there at the Canton location. Also they run a beer garden downtown, but not sure what date it shuts down. If you want to travel a little bit, Treehouse Brewing isn't too far and of course is great.

For bars, I enjoyed the food and drinks at Lord Hobo over by MIT and also the Gingerman downtown.

It's still open, but not on Mondays and Tuesdays. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe they'll close up shop for the season at the end of this month.
