I said this in another thread, but if this is the talent we have to work with at quarterback, O-line, and wide receiver, there's only one real way for us to win football games this year. We have elite talent at running back. Guice is one of the best in the country, and he turns 1-2 yard runs into 4-6 yard runs all the time, in spite of our bad line. Williams is a very good backup running back.

Unless Canada is a genius, we're going to have to run the ball, control clock, try to wear down defenses, and win it with our defense. I think State is just a very tough team to defend, and our defense didn't play well. But there's a lot of young guys out there and that unit will improve a lot as the season moves forward. I trust Aranda.

If we try to throw the ball 30 times with an average QB playing behind a shite line, we're going to have lots of negative or no-gain plays and lots of short drives.

It's ironic, but the way to win 8-9 games this season is by playing Miles ball.
