I just feel like I should be able to use it however I want. With 5 DL slots, it's not like an owner will be forced to drop a particularly helpful player anymore.

They will once rosters expand and teams stop abusing the 10-day DL.
Going to be plenty of DL stashes forcing decisions when they come off once teams are using their full 40-man roster.
