Look, we all know where the program is headed. The bright spot will be the climb back to the top. Remember how crazy Tiger Stadium was in 2000 for the State and Tennessee games? Auburn in 2001? Georgia in 2003? Florida in 2007? And of course, the Bama games recently. What was great about those years was that the fans were hungry and the stadium was electric and magical multiple times a year, not just for one game like these days. It's going to suck donkey balls for a while, but damn, Tiger Stadium will be magical again in a few years. The other side of our current debacle will be amazing.

In short, expectations will be gone, and winning will be fun again.

Edited to add that the current TAF model is completely fricked. They are collectively shitting their pants.

Yeh this is actually kinda true

For example this year, I have accepted the suck, so I am just selling out on beating UF. We do that, and I will be pumped

The only way we get the magic back like that is if we get a coach and leadership that we can all rally around together.

The fan base is splintered and we really haven't been able to be ourselves collectively since 1/9

Ain't happening brah. We have some serious, deep-rooted, systemic and cultural problems within our football program. They won't be corrected until FKing and Alleva are in the rearview mirror....along with CEO as we. That could be a while.

You're right about this. The problem being it takes years, sometimes decades to climb back up. I will say I had a lot more fun watching LSU as the program advanced rather than trying to stay at/near the top.

This is my point exactly. Expectations will be gone, and winning will be fun again.

We just need a better head coach and this ship will right in one season.

Talent won't ever drop to Hallman era levels so we won't ever have a 3+ year rebuild.

Are we really having a thread where it is being posited that it can be seen as a bright spot if LSU becomes a doormat because it will make us happier if we start to win again and the posts thereafter are agreeing with it? You people that romanticize the past are deluding yourselves.

If they somehow bit the bullet on his buyout or got rid of O for cause, someone could come in very soon and stop the bleeding.

You need to gain the reality that we are going to suck arse for a while, but the flip side will be fun.
