I'll never get why people do it, especially while drinking.
More than a couple drinks and you lose pretty much all coherent thought. I've had to kick guys out of the bar I used to work at because they were drooling on themselves and want to fight when they're asked to leave.
See the same guy a couple days later and he says "my bad dude I was barred out my mind. Dont even remember getting there. But it was AWESOME."

Pretty much. Xanax is some scary shite in terms of your body functioning with no coherent thought being there.
