Well I wasn't trying to convince anyone of that. We are talking about the broad economy, so I wasn't trying to apply that to each and every individual since that would be an example of the Ecological Fallacy anyways.

Bank accounts are about the worst metric to use in support of your argument.

Regardless, if people aren't better off now, then the economy would be doing poorly. It's not doing poorly, and it wasn't doing poorly over the last few years so I'm obviously not arguing against that. My point is that the overall improvement is consistent with the last few years. You doing better doesn't change that; just like someone who is doing worse doesn't change it either.
