Alvvays has owned my playlist this week. That album is infectious. If I updated my top ten, it would be in there.

I'll update this more when I have a chance to look through what I've listened to thus far this year, but off the top of my head, here are the standout albums:
1. Portugal. Tha man.
2. Haim
Both of those albums are focking amazeballs start to finish.
Albums that are in my top ten, but I'm not exactly sure where:
- Spoon
- Bishop Briggs
Sorry, I thought the Kendrick album was a bit overrated, but i'm also just not a huge huge Kendrick guy.
I liked the mancester orchestra, but not on the level that many on here did.
I almost actively disliked the newest offerings from John Mayer, Calvin Harris, and Passion Pit, which is notable in that those are all acts I used to dig. Especially, Passion Pit. The Passion Pit albums makes me some combination of sad and pissed. It's just an obvious throwaway album. The only purpose to fulfill a contractual obligation. Just way way worse than any of their previous offerings. It makes me mad that they mailed it in. It makes me sad that Passion Pit -- formerly one of my favorite bands -- is dead to me, and will likely never be revived.
