People love laughing at hypocrites. And when try to create a law making sex toys illegal, you better not get caught watching porn. If you're in the public eye, you should practice what you preach.

Why do y'all do this? Did you read anything about the law? It was passed in the 70s...his job as solicitor general was to defend the law. That's what he did and his statements after the ruling reflect this.

Granted the articles title is intentionally harsh, it isn't inaccurate, while your statement is false.

quote:

“Senator Cruz personally believes that the Texas law in question was, as (Supreme Court) Justice (Clarence) Thomas said in another context, an ‘uncommonly silly’ law,” Stewart said. “But the office was nevertheless duty-bound to defend the policy judgment of the Texas Legislature.”

Doesn't scream hypocrite to me under current circumstances.

quote:

Cruz defended the Texas ban as “protecting public morals — discouraging prurient interests in sexual gratification” and argued that in doing so the state had a vested moral interest in discouraging “autonomous sex.”

Still doesn't make him a hypocrite unless you caught him spanking it. This might be how they get down.

More to the point of the porn though, is it the opinion of the board that a staffer DIDN'T do this? I mean who the frick shares what porn they're watching? I've spent a great deal of time on the internet and the only times I've seen this happen it was done by someone other than the account holder. It's hard to even imagine this could happen accidentally as who in the world doesn't turn off their porn with the most cautious of movements to PREVENT this very thing?

Not to digress but it sounds like there were no toys in the video.
