Yes, I've had an abdominal ultrasound and HIDA scan and both were normal, but I still think this could have something to do with it.

I don't know. Those are pretty much the go-to tests for gallbladder trouble. I've heard of people being diagnosed via CT scan, but if your ultrasound showed no stones and your HIDA scan showed ejection fraction in the normal range, I'm not inclined to believe it's your GB. For what it's worth, I had my gallbladder removed in 2016. I had a normal ultrasound but ejection fraction of only 13%.

In my experience, medical doctors aren't all that helpful for GI issues that don't fall into a particular set of symptoms. Just because you don't have gallbladder disease, Chrones, cancer, diverticulitis, etc doesn't mean you have a healthy digestive system. You are likely to get labeled as having "IBS" which is like a catch all term for people who either have frequent abdominal pain/diarrhea or constipation after meals.

How old are you? Our bodies lose the ability to digest as we age. That is where digestive supplements can be beneficial. My mother has trouble digesting anything containing milk, so if she knows she's going to drink a glass of milk or have ice cream, she takes a tablet and doesn't have any problems.

I would start with the fiber first. Fiber slows the digestive tract and ideally you won't be running to the bathroom 20 minutes after a meal. If that doesn't work, try digestive enzymes and probiotics.

I'll be 45 in December. I can't tolerate milk or ice cream.

I thought fiber made you go more often, not less??
