Not true. At first it will likely make a person go more but as your gut balances out, it will also result in balancing you out. It helps cleanse toxins out of the gut while also boosting oxygen levels in the blood.

I started with a mag supplement at 190mg/day and that was more than enough to get me going regularly and more than that would cause movements to happen more than 1 or 2 times per day. As my gut health improved I'm now to the point I can take 500mg or more in a day with no increase in activity.

On the flip side, my wife has had issues every since she had her gallbladder removed of having to go too often each day. 180mg/day keeps her regular at 2 times per day.
