He might be able to do the work himself. Show him the estimate. Tell him you will sell it to him as is for your payoff. I personally wouldn't pay $600 for somebody to take a S x s off my hands unless I really needed to get rid of the monthly payment. If that is the case, you know what it is worth to you and can negotiate accordingly. I think splitting the repair cost in half is MORE than generous.
