I've tossed out the idea to my wife a few times. She is not a fan on minivans. I'm not really either, but you can't deny the utility and convenience with 3 small kids. we just both hate the look.

Neither I nor my wife are fans, mainly because of our "traumatic" experience with our parents each owning clunker minivans from the late 80's for most of our childhood. She even learned to drive in it.

I dont doubt the utility and convenience of them too (which is most likely why service or work employees use vans and not suburbans or tahoes for their jobs). But we each vowed to never own or drive a mini van.

That being said, we just picked up a Toyota Sequoia and love it. Though I do cringe at the thought of a five year old throwing the huge door open and dinging other cars in a parking lot.
