I'm not sure why he would run a vanilla offense. In fact, with an offense based on misdirection, I would think pulling out all the stops early is actually a better strategy. This forces teams to try and guess your tendencies. Once he sees what you are keying off of, he completely flips his strategy.

Agree, I think Canada may use this game to 'test' his own players to see what works and what doesn't, and who shines vs. who doesn't. With lots of young players against a weak team like BYU you can take some chances. Also, they have no idea what to expect from us, so this plays perfectly into Canada's hands.
