Well, Horowitz is wrong. His argument is a fallacy. It's nonsense to say that there is no oppression here as evidenced by people trying to enter the country illegally. They may be more oppressed in their native country and the lesser of two evils is preferable.

What class of people is being systemically oppressed in this country, and why?

I would argue that our welfare system is the closest thing we have to oppression in our country. I think there would be a whole lot less talk of oppression if we didn't have the generational welfare problem that keeps families in poverty for generations.
