You still were paying a crazy amount before. If they kept the old system around with the expected iPhone 8 price point you'd probably be looking at a $399-$499 upgrade fee and maybe a 3 year commitment instead of 2. You were never getting a free lunch, they were just hiding the true cost from you.

Yes, I understand that. It just screws with my mind when I see an additional charge that I now know is for the phone.

Do you mean you think you'll have to pay 400-500 bucks plus a month NEXT deal? That seems like that'd be stupid.
