RAQUEL WELCH AUDITIONED FOR MARY ANN.
Hmm?
Dawn Wells said in an interview recently that she would have hooked up with the Professor IRL.
If only he hadn't been married.
But this old video settles the old debate, Mary Ann vs. Ginger - LINK

There was never any question. I would've helped Mary Ann make her coconut cream pies.

You nail Ginger.
You marry Mary Ann.

Well, he was the marrying type - yes he was married 3 times, 1 short post-war marriage, and then 2 30+ year marriages that ended in death.
Pretty GD impressive for Hollywood, IMHO.

Dawn Wells was one of the most beautiful women in the 60's. Amazing. Because she was on such a campy comedy, she doesn't get the recognition like others.

Dawn Wells and Yvonne Craig are my choices for the most beautiful women on TV in the 60's.

No love for 99?
Based on pure aesthetics, I think both Marilyns from The Munsters stand out:
First - Beverly Owen:
Second - Pat Priest:
Now they couldn't do much with Priest's teeth (which weren't terrible, but screwed up her smile at times), but the women were gorgeous - and obviously cast in a character making us think "Marilyn Monroe" - so there's that.

She also got attacked by the guy in The Town That Dreaded Sundown.

Dawn lives in a small town in Eastern Idaho on the border with Wyoming and is a big pot user, I'm talking every day user. When ever she goes anywhere she expects everyone to stop what they are doing and fawn all over her, if they don't she will look at them and say "Don't you know who I am?", the locals will just roll their eyes and say "Yes Dawn, we know who you are"

Elizabeth Montgomery was in the running.

Well, if we're opening this up...
Julie Newmar for the win.

Except that nearly perfect Barbara Eden was also on television in the 1960s.
Good looking was in style back then.

I would've nailed Ginger first, but dated Mary Ann.
