My point is that EVERYTHING is easier with instant reverse, other than maybe getting out of a late season mud flat. Frogging, fishing, bow fishing, timber, etc. The pros outweigh the cons by a lot.
They're both great motors by great companies, but if someone asks me, I'm saying GT 10/10 times without blinking an eye.

I do none of that out of my duck boat. And my duck boat has one job. To let me hunt ducks for as long as and wherever I want.
And your telling me if You can't wait three seconds to put the boat into reverse? It isn't a big deal. You know what does suck? Buying a motor so you won't get stuck anymore and having to baby where you go cuz you might get stuck. Or getting stuck and waiting hours.
