Where do you live? I can't think of any dish that I've had that was heavy on cumin.
If anything, try Tandoori chicken. It's some of the best chicken I've ever had. Briyanni is also good, and very similar to jambalaya. Some would say it's even better.
frick. Now I'm craving a type of food I can't get in Arkansas (at least a good version).

I love chicken. I love rice. Hate whatever seasoning was on that stuff. It was a waste of chicken and rice to me.

You need to try harder. Bentonville has a huge Indian population due to the tech support for Walmart and vendors.
Try Aroma, Chennai, Curry Point or Flavors. There are a few Indian/middle eastern markets as well.
