First, let me apologize for WJ Cougar. None of us like him. Please ignore him and don't judge us on his comments. We're definitely weird, but even we're embarrassed by him.

Ok, now that that's out of the way I want to share some details on Boney Fuller. He was an actual student athlete back in the 30's or 40's - Boney was his nickname. The logo was taken from an actual photo during that time, turned into a logo, and then someone added the sailor cap to it. BYU fans call it a sailor cap and we have a logo of a cougar wearing it too. But, you may recognize it as a freshman cap - something everyone used to wear back in the day - apparently.

Boney came out of nowhere about 4-5 years ago and quickly became a fan favorite. No one knows who he is and that only adds to the legend. He'll make some jokes about your team, city, school, coaches and players for the week of the game, but he is completely harmless. Some schools like Utah and Utah State get real butt hurt at his jokes every year. If you're on Twitter, you'll definitely see them trying to take offense to anything and everything they can. We have a word for them, and I'm not sure how it translates into Creole but the English version is "little bitches."

BYU fans are excited about the game. Many are frustrated with the new venue, essentially making it a home game for LSU. There's a lot more Mormons in TX than LA, so we were expecting a better showing of fans in Houston. But, I think you'll be surprised at how many of us show up to the Superdome. We're easy to spot, we'll be the ones with like 100 kids, no alcohol, and possibly 3-4 wives each. The large families make us super cheap, so we're actually not bad to sit by during the games. If you do happen to end up next to one of us, there's a good chance you'll get some of the snacks that we snuck into the stadium to feed our ridiculously large families (although you guys don't have small families in the South, do you?).

Most sane BYU fans recognize this will be an L for our team, but our recent past gives us hope that we might pull off an upset (see BYU/Texas 2014 - the game that cost Mack his job, or BYU/Oklahoma when OU was ranked 3rd). Mostly, we're excited to play an amazing team like LSU with the rich winning tradition you have. I just hope we can keep it close. Good luck, enjoy Boney for the week, and please, please, please, don't judge us based on WJ Cougar. I can't emphasize that enough. We really don't like the guy. 4 more days!

This genuinely made me laugh because there are quite a few names on here that a lot of people would say the exact same thing about.

When I looked at his twitter feed I laughed. Hard. Anyone who takes light hearted trash talk too seriously shouldn't be a football fan, IMO.
