Is it a moral victory? For me....sure, if you want to look at it that way. I'm just a casual fan who is not alone when I say I have really started to dislike the sport of boxing.

So it is somewhat satisfying when all the boxing diehards feel vindicated about a 10 rounder and talk down to everyone, when the truth of the whole event is an outsider just used the sport of boxing for his own personal gain and became a bigger household name in the process, with an 0-1 record, than anyone not named Mayweather. That really says a lot about the sport if one would admit it.

You're under the belief that Mcgregor wasn't a household name before this fight?

I guarantee, 99% of casual observers who watch ESPN could tell you the name of two UFC fighters: Mcgregor and Rousey. All Mcgregor did was go get a payday that was far more than anyone in the UFC will ever dream of.
