My guess

Jerry will be let go before his 4 week suspension is finished.

Ainsworth will be in deep water - the source of funding to pay the fine is a hot topic.

I would be extremely surprised if he was let go unless there is much more going on than we know. As far as the fine, have you seen their new stadium? It was built with private funding and there is much more than that to be drawn from.

My guess

If your guess is true then West Monroe becomes an average ball club overnight. He is the heart and soul (along with Sanders) of that program. His defensive mind is one of the best there is. Hunt could carry it for awhile, but nowhere near Arledge in terms of knowledge and being around the program when it was being built to where it is today.

We won't ever know the full story of course, but my gut feeling is that West Monroe was set-up. No way they self-report without being tipped off that if they don't report it they will be given the Southern Lab treatment.

West Monroe fans are notorious for defending any and all behavior to the death and plays the victim just as hard as any school in Louisiana. But, I have seen what they do first-hand. They recruit. They do it. I have actually been apart of a player being recruited in North Louisiana dating back to 1999-2000. It was hardcore and it was deliberate.

None of this comes as a shock to me whatsoever at all. What a fan tells me goes in one ear and out the other just from the experience seeing it happen.

They got busted and they will pay the price for it. It was bound to finally happen and they just got caught during a time where the LHSAA is beginning to truly see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Also, in the case I mentioned the head coach at WM (Shows) had the decency to inform the coach at the players school that he had visited with him. I was there with this coach when he asked the disgruntled player why he wanted to leave and go to WM. In the house sitting down with them both.

Later that week we get visited by all 4 offensive linemen that began recruiting him and asking him why he would want to stay at his former school. He was wavering; he wasn't as sure about transferring once it became a reality that WM truly wanted him.

Schools know kids waver and that moving schools isn't as easy as talking about it. They leave friends, memories, and maybe more behind.

So, they stayed in his ear. So did his current school. In the end he stayed at his current school and did not transfer. But, once he made contact with WM they were all in.

I later found out that everything that happened was illegal. I had no idea why the coach at his current school did not turn WM in, but I do understand why now, years later. The two staffs were friends and they were competing. They wanted what was best for this player and didn't want the LHSAA involved.

Times sure have changed. No holds barred and that understood rule between coaches and transfers seems to have been destroyed.

Everything I shared is true and none, absolutely none was embellished whatsoever.
