It's fine to do this but not at a sporting event. You don't bring political issues to a sporting event. This is why it's getting so much blow back. People go to these places to enjoy the GAME! Not players protesting. It's not about having empathy for others, it's about entertainment. Have you seen what every other channel or place that have expressed their political views to the world did for them? It's cost them lots of views and money. The NFL DOES NOT want this in it's sport and I don't blame them. If you want to express your views, go to a rally, make a sign, get on CNN or Fox News and do that. Not at a football game where people pay good money to watch entertainment, not political protesting in front of them. It's sad really.

They are hurting their own place of employment, which is counter productive if you ask me. There are a hell of a lot more people that don't want to see this, then do. They should know this, and if they do know it but still do it, it's like telling your boss FU, to his face. Not going to end well for you.

Fans bring politics to sporting events all the time. Do you know how many campaign signs and stickers I see every Saturday near November at LSU?

The NFL doesn't give a shite about the protest, they are more worried about triggered snowflakes like you that are going to stop watching because you can't handle a political protest that you disagree with.

If you let a 2 minute protest before the game kicks off ruin your enjoyment of the game itself, then you should probably rethink your priorities.

Not that anyone asked but here is my .02. I served for 12 years and can't tell you how many times I stood at attention during the national anthem. A little not so well known fact is that it is against the UCMJ for a military member to not stand for the national anthem in uniform or not. The song may or may not mean more to some people. However, if I forced my political stance on the customers at my current civilian job, I would be fired tomorrow. Also, I don't see any of these players putting their paycheck or time into their cause. They just want to kneel on National Television and let someone else fix the problem. They can kneel, I defended that freedom. But I can also decide to not watch the NFL anymore because of it.

I agree.

Stop playing the anthem at a game.

Problem solved.

I can't think of a better place. I just hope it catches on in the college game. The cops in the country are the worst in the western world. Need to be stopped.
