This is why I'm not a huge fan of HdI/hook series lowrance. They're usable, but noticibly slow.

Hdi is no longer around. The elite ti series is the way to go for half the price of the hds.
It uses the same software as the hds.
I've used the elite Ti multiple times and own an HDS
To the OP, Garmin doesn't accept much for mapping outside of what they provide and that is not much. The other poster summed it up when saying that card may not work. Lowrance is what you need when looking for imagery
