Spent the day in Kingwood gutting houses. I'm exhausted. Mentally and physically. The destruction is awful, but people spirits were high. I brought a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter in case anyone was hungry. I turned down more food than I can even count. People and business just driving around handing out food. It was a beautiful thing to see. Back at it tomorrow.

Amazing isn't it? There is no shortage of help here, no shortage of generosity, and no shortage of random acts of kindness.

Last night I noticed volunteers set up at the entrance of many neighborhoods at night to confront possible looters before they can enter the area. I'll be volunteering tonight for a midnight shift. Seems the least I can do.
