but I would have to say that white supremacist have killed more than 8 people in the last 20 years.
white supremacists have killed at least 11 people that i can think of off the top of my head since 1998.
James Byrd in Jasper, Heather Heyer in Charlottesville, and 9 people in Charleston. i'm sure there are plenty more that I can't remember.
edit: there's been at least 60 killings by white extremists, what would now likely be called alt-right, since 1995

The Dallas cop shooting and the Dylan roof one are tricky though and may represent the negatives of the internet age. Neither were formally part of the BLM movement or the KKK, but both of them were radicalized online. The Dallas guy was all over black panther sites and BLM propaganda sites while roof was all over the daily stormer.
So would those be like ISIS who claims responsibility for lone wolf attacks if done in their name? If not publically, I would guess both of those groups were happy privately for each of those tragedies. Might represent how these things will unfold in the future since you don't need to physically go to a klan/panther meeting if you can find all the crazies online.
