This really baffles me. I blame this not on the sales person ... I'd blame it on upper management or their direct hire. They're the stupid ones who hired them. And they're the worthless leader that isn't close enough to their business.

Is it recurring type of work you're looking to be had done? Or a one time deal?

I've noticed with recurring business, a lot of salesmen get lax as frick because they think the business will keep rolling in.

That's when I go swoop up new clients that actually pay for service.

First rule in sales, people buy from people.

The thing is, it's not a big company with a bunch of salesman or anything. It's literally the owner of the company trying to sell what he and a few guys can do. He's a nice dude and all but it took way longer than it should have.

The job is almost completely done at this point, but he got dangerously close to us finding someone else because it was tough to get in contact with him.
