What's your understanding of why they went up all over the south during the jimcrow era so long after the war ended?

Well in this country we have a history of honoring Wars years after they're over. Most recently with all the World War 2 museums that have gone up in the past 10 years. As that's of Wars get old Society tends to honor them. There is a lot of footage of former Union and Confederate soldiers Gathering Together years after the war to reminisce.
