That's the way airlines operated before the Deregulation Act of 1978. Just 20 years ago Delta was still flying MD-88's, 737's, 727's, and 757's from Jackson to Monroe, Shreveport, and Pensacola, all once daily, and to Birmingham 3 times daily.
It's crazy how much the industry has changed since 9/11, and even just prior to 9/11.
